Brittany Rose - Museum
I was going to edit my stream of consciousness writing at the museum but frankly, I really enjoy it and I think it fits highly well - so I'll just type it up. You know that feeling when you instantly look at something and it takes your breath away? Like for real, not just the cheesy "you take my breath away pick up line" when your hair stands up on the back of your neck goosebumps are all down your arms and legs. Or like when you read a really good, blow your hair back book and for days after you finish you are what I like to call "drunk off a book". That's what this piece is. I could spend hours talking about this piece, the colors, and everything. Damn. I really like colors and . how they match and look and feel - well make you feel. That's why I'm in ad/pr it was a horrible back and forth for me mentally on what I wanted to do and how to go about doing it but one thing is for certain. The degree I get in the end really doesn't matter all that will matter is that I can design. Anyway, that's what this piece brings out in me. I think of the colors, the parts with the gradient that don't go together but also do that knock you on your ass as you get closer there are more colors, yellows, and blacks more colors that you don't notice, even more, when you back up. Your eyes will still focus on one shade but dark to a color you didn't even see before. You get dazed and if I weren't sitting right now I would have definitely gotten dizzy by now. But its a good dizzy. It's almost like a mood- like blue on one side pink/red on the other (I like to assign things colors in my head based on qualities like I assign people colors in my head). So I can even see it as a collection of people. The white spacce and grays around it make it pop more to me it was the first thing I was when walking into the room and stuck with me the entire time. The location makes you lok at it. In the Philiophoical idea, everthing is art from the coloring in the carpet everything - while I agree in a sense this piece is truly are to me as it makes me think, wonder, explore, ponder, send me on tangents that make me tell too much informatioin (like you are kinda a dark red almost burgendy in my head, probably because of that red shirt you have). It's like the two portion gradient catches your eye the big one as it is at a 45-degree angle from green to a grey pink but the smaller two go from the same white blue to either oink or aqua. The two-tone is tiny dots of color almost like pixels but more pronounced. But there are also these divots in it like little humps or small white clumps. I do agree I want it in my space so I can look at it all the time.
