This is my selfie with my friend's dog Carlos. He's kind of a weird dog, but I took it because he was really happy and close to me and he wanted to hang out. I appreciated his enthusiasm and I wanted to show my friend how much Carlos loves me since my friend is at the beach and Carlos typically hates him. I also have been house sitting/dog sitting this summer so I've been taking pictures of (and sometimes with) the dogs I've been watching. Part of it is just because in the moment they'll be looking incredibly funny or cute and I want to save that and send to their real owners or just show off to my friends that I get to watch and play with other people's dogs for money. It's partially bragging rights and also to have something to show other people if they want me to dog sit for them. This was also before I got bored of playing fetch with Carlos (it had already been FORTY FIVE MINUTES OF FETCH) and I threw the ball towards the cat, who was already annoyed with the dog for wanting to play so much fetch, so the cat then chased Carlos around the living room.
Dog sitting sounds like a really cool job! I would love to play with dogs for money. My dog does the same thing with playing fetch. He will start playing tug of war with my hair if I get tired of playing with him. Dogs make great photographs!
