Devon Barthold- Proposal

            For my final Photo 100 project, I would like to photograph the beauty in nature. I would like to photograph small details that make nature look beautiful, the tiny parts that add up to the beauty that is all around us. When I was little I was always outside playing in the woods around my house. We would always go on kayaking trips on the river, nature was just a big part of my childhood. I want to try to capture the world I saw around me as a kid. I want to try and relate two different sides of nature, from the beach to the woodsy areas around Penn State and Bellefonte. I want to show how the different sides that nature has to offer. Both sides equally as beautiful, but different in many ways. I want to try and show how even though they are different, they have similar qualities that make up the world around us. I am willing to spend as much time as possible capturing the beauty nature has to offer. I already have some good ideas on what I can photograph. I believe that these photographs can be extremely beautiful and eye catching. I want to capture the world around me in beautiful photographs that show everyone the way I see the world. I’ve always loved photographing the world around me, growing up I used any camera I could to take pictures while we were hiking or just hanging out as a family. It was something I always enjoyed and I know I will continue enjoying it. I want to photograph nature at the two places I visited as a kid, Penn State and Seaside Heights. I would also be capturing some photographs in the area my sister just moved to, I would love to get to know the area before I also move there. The best way to do that is to explore! Photographing nature would get me out in the world capturing new areas that I have not been yet! I think I could photograph some really cool areas with this theme. I have always loved nature and would love to get out and photograph even more areas around here! I would really enjoy getting to go out and explore new areas while photographing the beauty around me. This project would allow me to see new areas but also visit places I haven’t been in a while. I already have a trip planned for the beach this coming weekend and I plan on visiting my sister next week, I plan on just going for walks around Penn State to also photograph.
